Bob Cartwrights 40th Vintage

2018 Marks 40 vintages for Winemaker Bob Cartwright.  We celebrated in style with a long table lunch in the Barrel Room of Thompson Estate.  All guests arrived with a bottle of something from 2014 in hand as this was one of Bobs favourite vintages.  It was a honor to host this for a man that has done so much for the wine industry.

UWA CLUB TASTING

University Club Tasting

23rd June 2018

Thompson Estate enjoyed the Annual Wine by the Bay event at the University Club of WA on Saturday. A huge number of new admirers and loyal supporters of our wines attended our very busy booth, helped by a strong recommendation for our Chardonnays from Ray Jordan who held a Masterclass for the top wines of the Show earlier in the day Our 3 Chardonnays (Four Chambers, Estate and The Specialist) are gaining increasing support locally and internationally. Chardonnay is back big time!

On the road in Edinburgh

 A challenging market As part of Thompson Estate's vigorous export push, Jane and Peter visited Edinburgh with Wine Australia recently.  Wine Australia's role in the export market is important and is having an influence, but the UK market continues to be a challenge. Anyhow it's fun. Watch this space for news of our efforts in Edinburgh.
